At this point in world history, nations can no longer be defined by using a single back-story shared by all people within their borders. History has stirred the pot, sending waves of humanity from one continent to another, and creating diverse populations within the borders of every nation.
Today, we aspire to create viable, forward-looking nations that are committed to developing their own societies based on universal standards of dignity for all their people. Nations become noble by providing their people with universal education, health, and means of participating in the economic and governance life of their society.
In varying degrees, nations are learning to create their national vision through consultation between First Peoples who have known a region for millennia, and globally-migrant peoples who have arrived in recent centuries.
Place and peoples interact to create distinctive national philosophies, cultures, economies, and self-governance.
